Sustainability at Work Group Strengthens Foundation for Continued Growth

Cologne, September 7, 2026 – The Sustainability at Work Group, comprising ISCC System GmbH (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification), 4C Services GmbH, GRAS Global Risk Assessment Services GmbH, Meo Carbon Solutions GmbH, TYC Connect GmbH & Co. KG and ClimatePal Services GmbH, today announced a change in ownership and management that will strengthen the Group’s long-term development and growth ambitions.
Battery Ventures has acquired a majority stake in the Sustainability at Work Group as a strategic investor. Founded in 1983, Battery is a global, technology-focused investment firm with a strong presence in Europe. Its deep experience in technology, digital transformation and scaling businesses will complement the Group’s existing strengths and help its companies to capture new growth opportunities.
Andreas Feige is departing as shareholder and Managing Director. The Group thanks Mr. Feige for his contribution to building and developing the Sustainability at Work Group.
Jan Henke and Norbert Schmitz will continue to hold a stake in the Group and provide continuity in the Group’s leadership and day-to-day operations. Norbert Schmitz remains Managing Director of the operational units. Jan Henke’s existing Managing Director responsibilities have been extended to all companies within the Sustainability at Work Group. Together with Battery Ventures, they will focus on strengthening the Group’s market position, expanding its portfolio of services and pursuing new opportunities for sustainable growth.
This development creates a strong platform for long-term growth, closer collaboration and innovation across the Group. All companies within the Sustainability at Work Group remain committed to their customers, regulators and employees.
