The European Union Regulation on Deforestation-free products (EUDR) is promoting the reduction of the EU’s impact on global deforestation as well as forest degradation with the aim to bring down greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity loss.
According to the EUDR, from December 30, 2024, any operator or trader bringing EUDR-related commodities into or out of the EU market must be able to demonstrate that the products do not come from recently deforested land or have contributed to forest degradation.
